Watchup: Daily News Video Stream App Reviews

It worked fine, then I updated to latest iOS and it went crazy. It scrolls from one video to the other, no stop. I uninstalled and reinstalled it 4 times, restarted my iPad. Nothing worked. Please, fix it!

There is absolutely nothing unique or special about this app. Its the same dog with different spots as many of the other apps are. A collection of new stories from around the web. Of course they want a email address or a Facebook account. We are still better off with something like USA today and.

This is perfect. Keeps me updated and current. Great app.

Working in the office has never been so complete until this app. I get to customize the news that Im only interested in.

Ive used and loved this app for years. What can I say, it does what its supposed to do and does it extremely well.

The concept is good and the channel line up is also varied and of good quality. The application suffer for a significant level of instability and some design flaws. The daily feed does not include international channels and some never appear in the daily feed but its not clear why. The likes and dislike seem to be referring to the channel but not to the content so it is not clear if what you dont like is topic, the source of the news or any other aspect (for example I was receiving feeds from local stations in other states but it was not clear why they where there and how to get rid of them) I use it every day because it fulfills a very useful task but Id love to see some improvements.

5 min in the morning is the time to spend to get a snapshot of news. These broadcasters still do not understand Mobile.

This app is fantastic! Such a convenient way to catch up on the days news. This has to be the best way to get a synopsis of happenings around the world (though someday, it will probably be littered with ads). My only complaint is the somewhat limited amount of news sources, though Im sure more outlets will come onboard as this app gains popularity.

This is a fantastic news app! I love everything about it. International news is great. Getting it right from the source. Awesome! New channels are added quickly. Finally news without ads! And the news is good and current! Awesome, thank you! Works in every aspect. I highly recommend!

This app is one of my indispensable iPad apps. Great selection of channels. Not quite sure about that dislike button which I have hit by accident only to have my content move to the next item before it concluded. I do appreciate the learning aspect of the app which seems to use some sort of combination of the like/dislike, story choices, and channel choices to determine the content offerred.

This app constantly hangs up - unable to load segments - very frustratrating and annoying. This app has been doing this for over a year now. Right now it is sitting next to my router and cant seem to load the next segment - onece again

The video is not taking the entire space on the screen. It takes up 25% of the available area.

So I got Watchup about four months ago and it’s gone through a couple versions since then. They’ve made small but significant tweaks in each version, especially correcting bugs. What I really appreciate about the app is that I can personalize my newscast sources. For a while I was getting my news from my Facebook feed but there’s always some sort of crazy bias inserted into those stories but I never really felt like the news on TV related to me specifically. That’s what makes Watchup so great. I can select the sources I feel are most relevant or trustworthy. I can also follow tech or gaming, which always have fun stories that I don’t necessarily seek out on my own. And then there’s of course the fact that it is a playlist. I can have my phone playing in the background while I make food or when I’m getting ready. But mostly I binge watch short news clips. On my own schedule which is super convenient. One thing to remember though, need to make sure internet connectivity is strong or else you might run into issues. Also having lots of programs running in the background slows down your phone overall so it’d be good to exit out of them. 5 out of 5

The first time I used it was ok. A story kept on repeating which was a little annoying. Anytime after that It would tell my news was ready, but when I try to watch it the video would be stuck in loading.

...just waiting for the chrome cast integration :)

Same as use YouTube but only news.

This app is great because without a cable subscription you get all the latest news from great channels. I just wish they can add Chromecast, that would be very cool...!
